Entirely too many consumers have fallen victim to high-tech fraudsters claiming to be a legitimate financial institution or credit card company. Through e-mails known as “phishing”, they try to obtain personal, confidential information such as passwords, account numbers, Social Security numbers and other sensitive data.
Most claim that there is a problem with your account requiring your immediate attention or possible fraudulent activity on your account.
Please be aware that Memorial Health Credit Union will NEVER send such e-mails. Should you receive an e-mail claiming to be from us, requesting that you supply sensitive information, please treat it with utmost suspicion. Do not respond to the e-mail or click on any link within the e-mail.
Contact the credit union for more information and assistance.
